 Assistant/Associate Professor in Pharmacy Practice
The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, invites applications for the position of assistant/associate professor in pharmacy practice at Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy, Section for Social Pharmacy, starting 1 August 2011 or as soon as possible hereafter. The appointment for the position of assistant professor is normally made for 4 years.
Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy is engaged in research and teaching within the following areas: molecular and cellular pharmacology to systems pharmacology. Social pharmacy deals with the meaning of medicines in society and professional activities in relation to medicine use. 
The aim of research in pharmacy practice is to explore this in the primary as well as the secondary health care sector; which includes organisational aspects, clinical pharmaceutical tasks, resources, activities and outcomes as well as contributing to the development and quality assurance of activities carried out by the pharmaceutical profession. Participation in developing a new centre with focus on better efficacy and effectiveness of pharmaceuticals will also be a part of the job.
The successful candidate has a pharmaceutical or equivalent background and can document research experience within pharmacy practice. An applicant with experience from pharmacy practice will be preferred, knowledge of and interest for communication and interdisciplinarity will be considered an advantage. The candidate is expected to participate in the department’s  teaching within social pharmacy courses at both bachelor, master and Ph.D levels. Also the candidate is expected to supervise Master’s students and PhD students 
Emphasis will be put on your teaching experience, especially with relevance to the contents of the position, as well as whether you have completed a course in pedagogy. 
Salary is subject to the collective agreement made between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
